How to purchase

Just let us know by email, fax phone or mail which item(s) you would like to purchase. Please use the reference letters and number and state any preference for mailing.  Do give us the address to which you want the item despatched.

We will then confirm by the appropriate channel that the item is available and the amount of the shipping costs. It will then be reserved for you until payment is received (up to 15 days).

On payment we will then despatch the item with a request to inform us that you have received the article plus any relevant comments you might have.( Perhaps obvious, but do not send any credit card details without discussing with us.)

Acronyms,abbreviations and reference codes

We occasionally use abbreviations to describe items, materials and condition, and all items are assigned reference codes. The reference codes are given in the contents table and the abbreviations we use have been adapted from Battersea Pen Home, Gary Lehrer and the original Pen World and Pen Fancier acronyms. Some of these are:

HR – hard rubber BHR – black hard rubber  
RBHR – red and black hard rubber    
    ED – eyedropper
  MBL – marble LF – lever filler
  PP – pen/pencil BF – button filler
MOP – mother-of-pearl (nacre)   LL – Lustralloy
    GF - gold filled
Combo – combination of fountain pen and propelling pencil
